Christopher Merlene graduated from Marcus Highschool in 2011. Chris was on the Varsity team for his Junior and Senior year. In 2011 Christopher recieved the Chad Tinsley Award. He was also selected to play in the Team U.S.A. vs. The World football game which took place in Austin. Chris made first team 8-5a All-District and the Texas Sports Writers Association All State Team his senior year.

Christopher will be attending Southern Arkansas University for the Fall 2011 semester. He will be playing guard for the Muleriders.on an Academic and Athletic scholarship and will be playing guard for SAU's football team.
